Cami's Choir Concert

Cami surprised us all by auditioning for a solo for the 8th grade spring concert.  She was AMAZING! She wasn't really even nervous and we were so proud.  I love it that my kids can still surprise me sometimes.  Keep it up Cami!  We love you.

National Junior Honor Society

We are so proud of Cami and all her hard work.  This is our third and final induction ceremony for National Junior Honor Society.  Cami is a fantastic student and we love watching her find her strengths and the teachers getting to know her as her own person.  We love you Cami!

Senior Night - Lacrosse

After a long season, we finally celebrated senior night.  I can't believe that after all these years of playing together we have seen their last game.  Taylor has been blessed to have such good friends to go through the highs and the lows with. We have loved every minute of watching her play and each shed a few tears at the thought of lacrosse being over. Thanks for all the exciting memories Taylor!

The Color Run

Taylor's lacrosse team likes to do 5k races together.  They have done two color runs in Camden and she says this one was one of the funnest things ever.  I'm not crazy about her being in Camden, but once they get there, they are only within the stadium area.  Here are a few fun pictures.

Visit to Indiana

As I was having my landscaping installed, I got a call that my mom was in the hospital with some abdominal problems. I flew to Indiana to surprise her and make sure she took it easy for the weekend. My mom never stays down, but she allowed me to cook and clean and run errands.  It was a great visit.  I snapped a funny picture of her dog, Dirk.  He loves to sit with her while she watches TV, but refuses to lay on her lap.  He insists on sitting upright next to her. It is hilarious.

A Victory in The Rain

Taylor's Lacrosse team has been going through a long and frustrating losing streak.  They finally got a big win in the most miserable of conditions. Cold rain is the worst, but it's amazing how much that victory meant to the girls.  They work so hard and have had so many close, heart-breaking losses.  Hooray for East!

Landscaping

Last year I had surgery on my wrist and had to hire some landscapers to come and help with Spring clean-up and mulching.  They did such a great job that I decided to have them back for a big project we can't do ourselves.  Our tree in front of the dining room died after two bitter winters and we decided to replace it and take out all the grass and shrubs up to the sidewalk.  The tree, grass, and plants filled the landscape truck to about 2/3rds! The designer did such a great job and I was practically giddy leading up to the installation. Here are a couple pictures from that day as well as some from about 6 weeks later.  Amazing how quickly everything is growing.  I couldn't be happier.
