Monterey Bay

We met Tom, Heather, and cute Shelby in Monterey on Friday. We hadn't met Shelby yet and were excited to spend some time together. It was a beautiful day and Shelby was a trooper after beginning the day with such a long trip. It was so nice to get to know them a little better and we love to get a baby fix whenever we can! Thanks for coming and spending time with us!

Anniversary at the Oakland Temple

I married my sweetheart at the Oakland Temple 17 years ago. We decided to spend the afternoon there for our anniversary. It was fun to take pictures in the same places and share memories from that day and the years since.

I certainly feel like one lucky girl. I am married to my best friend. He makes me laugh every day and challenges me continually to be the best I can be. I have loved all our adventures together and look forward to many more. Life just keeps getting better. I love you Ed!

Audi Driving Day

For Ed's 40th birthday, we gave him a trip to the Audi Driving School in Sonoma, CA. He wanted to wait until the weather was nicer to schedule his day. It ended up being one of the most fun gifts he's ever received. He spent the day at Infineon Raceway driving every Audi you can imagine - yes, even an R8. Every time he drove he plugged in a flash drive and we will be receiving a video montage sometime soon. My job was to take pictures, so I'll post a few of the many I took.

Helping with the Puppy

It is a lot of work to keep an energetic puppy occupied and out of trouble. Luckily we have three kids who all pitch in to help.

Cami doesn't mind taking him out - even in the rain! She put on my coat and shoes and grabbed an umbrella twice her size. It was quite a production:)



Dallin even includes the puppy when he's reading scriptures for the day. The trick is not to let the puppy "feast" on them.

Friends

Baby Zoey and Dog Zoey have a great friendship. The dog is very gentle with Zoey and they actually love to sit in the sun together by the sliding doors. Baby Zoey has also recently discovered that the dog loves to share any food she drops while eating. I have insisted that this is a no-no, but when I'm not looking I hear giggles and turn around to see them sharing.



A week or two ago Zoey showed up with a gift for our dog - a big blue bone. Apparently she and her mom were out shopping, she spotted the bone, and insisted that she take it home for "big doggy" at Jen's house. The dog loved it and baby Zoey was so proud. It's fun to watch baby Zoey learn to take care of the dogs and tell them how to behave. She loves them.

Softball Season

Cami's softball season has begun. She's on the White Sox this year and has a really nice coach. Her fielding skills have really improved this year and we've been practicing more than in years past. Here are a few pictures from her first game.

Lacrosse Season

Taylor is in the middle of a very busy lacrosse season. She's playing for her school as well as the Lightning Lacrosse team. That means four nights a week of at least one game or practice and often two. She loves it and is having a blast with her friends. She is also very tired every night:)

These are some pictures from a school game. You'll notice that they wear the "old-school" kilts. She is not happy about this. I would advise that you not leave any comments about the kilt. She will hunt you down. And trust me... she's fast.

Donuts

Cami's class had a party to say goodbye to their student teacher. That's great, right? Well... it is except that the food to be served was donuts and Cami used to LOVE donuts before she had to go GF. Her wonderful teacher called the night before to ask if we could please send in some yummy treat for her to eat during the celebration. She got a little teary and I decided to call Grammy for what I was sure would be a magical recipe. It was. We made GF cinnamon donuts and they were wonderful! Cami was thrilled to be able to take her treat to school and all was well. Thanks Mom for the great recipe!

More Puppy

O.K... we are so in love with this puppy (and our Zo-Zo who is happier than ever). Here are a few more pictures of our dogs. Hudson has already doubled in size in just one month and we are soaking up the cuteness while we can. He is so fun for us and Zoey (dog) loves having someone to play with and boss around. You can't help but smile when this little guy comes running up wagging his tail like crazy.

Tired Puppy

This is what happens when you're only 10 weeks old and you spend the day chasing kids and dogs around the yard.
