My Favorite Flowers

Yes, I put these pictures on every year.  These are my favorite flowers and they make me SO happy every time they bloom.

My Little Friends

Look who I got to spend time with!  They wanted to take this picture to send to Dallin.  I sure love these girls :)

Our New Garden

We finally got our vegetable garden going this year.  Here are the beginning pictures.  We'll be able to compare these to later in the season.  One whole side of the garden is strawberries, one section is lettuce, and the other two have tomatoes, herbs,  and squash.  I also threw in some flowers to make it look nice until everything grows.

NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship

We headed down to Baltimore to attend the semifinal games for the NCAA championships.  Taylor had been recording all the games leading up to the finals and we were enjoying getting to know some of the players.  Her favorite players are the Thompson Trio - two brothers and a cousin who have broken all kinds of records this year.  The brothers are also easily recognizable as they are native american and have mo-hawks and long ponytails braided down their backs.  We were walking into the stadium when Cami spotted the brothers from across a crowd.  She is so alert to details and I'm actually not surprised she saw them.  We hurried over and the girls got to take a picture with them.  It really made the whole trip (and all the crazy traffic) worth it.  The games were great and it was so nice to be in warm sunny weather for the whole day.

Band Concert

Cami has really enjoyed being in the middle school band this year.  If we could just get her to grow a little bit we would be able to see her during the concert :)  We love hearing the flute in our house and look forward to hearing even more as the years go on.

Orchestra Concert

We enjoyed another orchestra concert.  It was amazing as usual.

Skype With Dallin

We LOVED getting to talk to Dallin over Skype!  We had to delay our Mother's Day call by one week, but it was worth the wait.  You can read all about it on his mission blog here:

We sure miss him, but are so grateful for his service.  We love you Dal!

Lacrosse Banquet

We enjoyed celebrating the end of lacrosse season with Taylor's team.  I'm grateful that they got a new coach and she is going to be with them again next year.  Taylor loves playing lacrosse and we love watching her.  We're excited for next year!

Taylor's Choir Concert

Taylor did an amazing job accompanying the choir for the spring concert.  I'll upload some videos later.  We were lucky to sit by Ali and her family during the concert - we miss seeing her and all of Dallin's friends :)

Last East Lacrosse Game

Taylor's team made it to the post-season this year.  They had to play the #1 seed and got pummeled, but they put their heart into it and we were proud. Taylor had a great season and learned a lot about her new defensive position.  Great job Taylor - Go East!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was bittersweet this year.  Ed had to be out of town, so we had to postpone our Skype call with Dallin, but the girls were really sweet and made my day special with breakfast and gifts.  I am so grateful to be a mother to my three amazing children.  It is such a blessing to be a part of their lives and watch them grow up.  I am also blessed to have a wonderful mother and mother-in-law as examples in my life.  Happy Mother's Day!

 

Abington Playday

Cami's team only got to play one game at Abington Playday before it started pouring.  We snapped a quick picture and ran for the car in-between downpours.
