Mom's Photography Homework

Our assignment this week was to "stop action", so I decided to use Taylor as my subject.  We traveled to an away game and I practiced capturing her in motion.  It has been fun to learn how to make adjustments on my own on the camera instead of trusting the auto setting.  It turns out that sometimes I am actually smarter than the camera!  It was a cloudy (and very cold) day, so the colors are not as vibrant as I would like, but I'm happy with the clarity and action.

Spring Lacrosse

Spring lacrosse in Pennsylvania sometimes means shoveling the snow off the field in order to play.  Uugh!  Where are you sunshine?!?

Sunrise After Teaching Seminary

This was the sight waiting outside the church when I finished teaching seminary.  There are some benefits to being up that early!

National History Day

Cami was involved in a year-long research project for National History Day about John Williams.  She spent countless hours researching and working on her display/presentation.  Unfortunately parents were not allowed in the actual event and the picture Cami took for me got erased, so all I have is the pre-NHD pictures. We are so proud of her for all the work she put into the project and ended up with a 97% !!

Seussical

Cami was in her school's production of Seussical this Spring.  She was a jungle animal (zebra) in the chorus and a part of a smaller choir during a few scenes.  She had a great time hanging out with a couple good friends during rehearsals and we were impressed with the show.  We are so proud of Cami for working hard to be a part of this show and for stepping a bit out of her comfort zone.  We love you Cami!  You are amazing!

Taylor's 18th Birthday

We surprised Taylor at practice on the morning of her birthday.  We brought donuts for the team and balloons to celebrate.  After opening a few presents at home, we went to lunch and the mall for the afternoon.  She had her friends over that evening, including a friend who shares her birthday.  It was a great day.  We are so blessed to have Taylor in our family.  We love you Tay Tay.
