The cousins always find time to hang out by (or mostly in) the pool. Our beach vacation includes anything that involves sun, water, relaxing, and laughing. I am always amazed at how long they can enjoy swimming and how many different games they can create together. Ed was always happy to be the adult supervision while they swam :-) Here are a few shots of pool time!
We kicked off summer with a trip to the beach at Spring Lake. Dallin and Ed had to work, but Beth and Hayley joined us for a beautiful day. We can't wait for many more days relaxing in the sun!
Cami's friend came with her and they are just too cute together. Taylor and Hayley didn't want any pictures taken, but Beth and I were good sports.
Ben opened his mission call during Dallin's graduation party. It was really exciting to get to be a part of the announcement (via facetime). Our guests/friends were fascinated with the whole concept and the younger kids couldn't help but gather behind us to hear where he was going. When we cheered so did they and my friend Beth took pictures of the whole ordeal for me. Here we are getting the news - you can tell by our reactions when he said Uruguay!
We are so excited for Ben to get to serve the Lord in Monte Video. He goes into to the MTC in Argentina on (my birthday) November 7th.
We had such a fun party for Dallin and all his/our friends. I think he was most excited about having Chipotle, but I was most excited about creating the display table (or "shrine to Dallin" as Ed called it). All the moms were with me on the sentimentality of the table. Taylor and Cami created a clean chalk board space downstairs for everyone to leave a message of congratulations. We had a great time catching up with everyone and Dallin felt loved.
We stopped by the construction site for the Temple on our way home from dinner in Philly. We're so happy that construction has begun. Here's what it looks like right now.
We had a beautiful (and very hot) graduation day June 19th, 2013. I thought I would be sadder, but I was just too happy and proud for very many tears. Dallin is so ready to move on to the next phase of his life and we were anxious to celebrate with him. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and as a member of National Honor Society. We were glad that Ed's mom could join us and after the ceremony we headed down to Philly to eat at Fogo de Chao. Dallin has always wanted to see if he could eat his money's worth at this Brazilian steak house. He did. It was a great day and Ed and I are so proud of the wonderful young man Dallin has become. He is such a great example and anchor to all his friends. We will miss him terribly in the fall when he heads out to BYU, but we wouldn't want him anywhere else. We love you more than you can possible know.
