Conference Weekend in Connecticut

Ed has been in Europe for the last week, so we decided to head to Connecticut to visit my brother, Jim, and his family. They recently moved in to a beautiful home which was built in 1902 and I have been dying to see it. This weekend was just what I needed. The kids were happy, Cheryl is a fabulous cook, we watched conference and I got to sleep in as late as I wanted. I'm looking forward to having them even closer to us now - only about 4 hours. I'm sure that we'll be back many more times this summer - especially to enjoy the beach in warm weather :)

We always have to pay honor (see the first two pictures) to the regal Trixie who rules the house. We also enjoyed the cute new puppy Harrison. Dallin was able to go to Priesthood session with Jim and Cheryl remembered that we always make baked apples while the guys are gone. We had a wonderful weekend and are ready to go home and welcome Ed back from his trip.

Crazy Clothes Day

For the last day of the marking period, Cami participated in crazy clothes day at school.

Our Star Alice

Cami has been working so hard in preparation for her Alice In Wonderland performances. She was AMAZING as small Alice! She just glowed on stage and wasn't even nervous at all. She definitely has a future on stage. Grammy, Grandma, the Olson family, the Meise family, the Forsyth family, and our neighbors Betsy and Ainsley all came to support her. There were three performances and she was pretty worn out by the end of the week. I took tons of pictures but will only post an assortment. We are so proud of you Cami!

Reading Olympics

Cami was a member of the "Lightning Rod Readers" for Reading Olympics this year. They have been reading books and meeting to practice before school for months now. All the kids stayed after school for a pizza party and then headed off to the event. Her team earned enough points for a blue ribbon and she answered quite a few questions. It was a great evening and I am very proud of Cami for setting goals and meeting them. Way to go!

Kaia's Birthday

Kaia turned 1! We celebrated with the Olsons after church. She brings so much joy to everyone around her. We are so grateful to have her in our lives. Happy Birthday baby girl!

GREASE

Ian performed in his last musical at East this month. He was amazing on stage and was front and center for almost every song. I took too many pictures, but I tried to narrow it down a bit for this post.
