Baby Kaia

Little Zoey got a new sister this week. Kaia Elizabeth joined their family at a healthy 8 lbs 9 oz and 21 inches. Mom and baby are doing great and we really enjoyed having Zoey around for the week while they were in the hospital recovering. We can't wait to get to know little Kaia!

First Day of Lacrosse

Cami has decided to give lacrosse a try this year. She usually plays softball in the spring, but is looking forward to trying something new. She is really lucky to be on the same team as her friend Morgan and to have Morgan's mom as her coach. I hope to get some pictures of both girls playing, but we keep getting rained out! More pictures to come soon.

More Time With Cousins

The Hammonds spent a few days in Washington DC and returned for one more day with us before driving home. Unfortunately, it's PSSA testing at school this week, so we couldn't keep the kids home. I did pick up Cami as soon as she was done in the morning and gave her a little extra time. The weather was beautiful, so we decided to head over to Castle Park to play capture the flag and find a geocache.

After some fun in the sun, we came home to make burgers on the grill to go with our new favorite quinoa salad and fruit. There's just something about the first cookout of spring that tastes soooo good:) We rounded out the night by watching BYU win in the NCAA tournament (complete with Rita's and a halftime show provided by Cami, Elley, and Emi).

We're so glad that they drove all the way here to visit! I don't get to spend as much time as I would like with my sister and really enjoyed having this time. She has a beautiful family and is a wonderful example to me in so many ways. Love you guys and see you soon!

Hangin' With The Hammonds

My sister and her family came to visit for Spring Break! It's a long drive from Indiana and we are so thankful they came! We had about a day and 1/2 to hang out before they took off for a few days in Washington DC. They will be back tomorrow and we'll get to do some more fun things around here. Their friends the Andersons also came and we really enjoyed having a full house. I really do love having lots of people together and letting the kids play and make fun memories. I took a few pictures while we were playing cards and Apples to Apples.

Triple Baby Shower

Three of my friends are having babies! Dalene and Leisha are both due next week and Amanda is due in May. It's not the first baby for any of them, but I thought we needed to celebrate! I invited the whole Relief Society for a brunch and got busy with some decorations. The only way they would all agree to the party in their honor was if there were no games and no gifts:) Easy enough - lots of food and chatting with friends.

It's always busy once the party starts, but I did manage to get a few pictures. I can't wait to meet these cute new babies - they certainly are lucky to be coming to such wonderful Moms.
