Field Day

Cami had her last field day in scorching heat this year.  She and her friends made the most of it and had a great time as usual.  I was able to snag these pictures before they headed in for some much needed cool air.

My Roses

Yep, I am very proud of these beauties.  The kids are tired of hearing me say, "Just look at them!  Really just stop and look at how beautiful they are!"  I just wish they lasted more than a few weeks.  My friend gave me very specific instructions (thanks Shannon!) about when to fertilize, when to spray for disease and when to prune.  It appears to have worked.

Memorial Day Cooking

Things have been a little crazy lately and our family meals have been less than stellar.  I promised to cook anything my family requested as long as they helped me pick it out and made me a shopping list.  I don't mind cooking, but I HATE trying to decide what to eat and making the comprehensive list.  We had some great meals and I decided to take pictures because some of it was just so pretty. Who knew grilled romaine hearts are so yummy?  Who doesn't love a gourmet burger?  Hungry?

It is always bitter sweet to have our end of the year calendar open up.  I love all the celebrations and concerts... but it is exhausting.

Summa Cum Laude

Dallin joined many of his close friends at the Summa Cum Laude ceremony.  He has worked so hard to receive this recognition and we are very proud.  We are blessed to be in such an amazing school district and surrounded by many high-achieving students.  Nearly 100 students out of 500 are graduating with this honor (double the amount last year).  About half of all seniors this year will graduate with a GPA of 3.7 or higher.  This is an amazing group of kids.

Grammy Comes to Visit

It has been an extremely busy year for everyone.  Grammy and Papa have been serving a mission in the regional Bishop's Storehouse in Indy and it really keeps them hopping.  Due to their schedule and the fact that we are going on a big family vacation to the OBX right after school is out, she isn't going to be able to come to Dallin's graduation.  I talked her into coming for a quick visit beforehand to spend some time and let Dallin know how proud she was.  She was able to see Taylor's concert, Cami's dress rehearsal, and take Dallin out for a nice dinner.  We love having her here and are grateful she could squeeze in a visit even with all her service.

As usual I didn't take many pictures with her in them, but rather of the things we were watching.  Thanks for coming mom - I love you!

Visiting Teaching Conference

We had our annual visiting teaching conference on Mother's Day.  We had a luncheon and shared stories about visiting teaching.  The theme was the B's of Visiting Teaching.  The pictures will show how cute the decorations and food were.  I am so lucky to serve with such wonderful women in Relief Society.

Mother's Day

The kids were so good to me this year on Mother's Day.  Ed had to be out of town, but he helped them get everything ready.  They surprised me with an ipad mini before church and let me take a nice long nap after lunch.  They also wrote me such nice cards.  I am truly blessed to be a mother to three wonderful children.  They continually amaze me and bring me joy each and every day.

These are the first two pictures I took with my ipad!  Taylor says I need some help with "selfies".  I'll practice and post some more later :)

Cami LAX Game

Here are a few pictures from one of Cami's LAX games.  They won and she played great!

Choir Concert

Taylor had her spring choir concert.  She sang in the choir and accompanied the choir on a few songs.  I was in a terrible position to film her and you can barely see her.  I was so impressed with her composure when the air conditioning kicked on and started moving her music.  The poor boy turning her pages was trying so hard to keep them in place and stay out of her way.  I don't understand how she doesn't get nervous playing in front of people, but she never has.  I am incredibly proud of how hard she has worked to develop this talent and know she will bless others the rest of her life with beautiful music.

Senior Prom

Dallin had Senior Prom this weekend. He went with his best friend Julia and had a great time.  Apparently royal blue was the color this year and half the girls were wearing it.  I thought Dallin and Julia both looked fabulous.  I can't believe the end of the year is almost here!  Dallin is so ready to be done with classes, early morning seminary, and AP tests.  He has been extremely busy lately and just can't seem to get enough sleep, but soon enough graduation will be upon us, so for now I am just happy to show off my handsome son.  Here are a ton of pictures of him and all his friends.  (The Lacrosse team came to see their friends straight from practice and are in some of the pictures.)
